You can be a hero to your child or grandchild by bringing them to the fourth annual Touch a Truck event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 in Seaborn Jones Park, Rockmart.
Return to your childhood and enjoy the excitement of seeing kids get up close and personal with trucks, earth moving machines, emergency, fire and police vehicles and more.

A star-studded cast, including teachers, will perform at the first annual Talent Showdown scheduled at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 16 in the gymnasium at Rockmart Middle School (RMS).
Admission is $5 per person. Limited seats are available on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone is invited to attend.
The idea for the fundraiser was first mentioned by Principal Judy Wiggins who wanted to give parents and the community an opportunity to view the talent of RMS students.
