Breaking News >Fire destroys garage on Potter Street Photo by John Axford Haddon Fire Company No. 1 responded to an alarm raised at 7:05pm on Friday (May 18) for a fire in the rear yard of a triplex at 56 Potter Street. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found that the second floor and roof an historic barn-style garage were ablaze. They also found that the structure housed seven antique automobiles and several motorcycles. While some firefighters worked to quell the blaze with a compressed-air foam system and water, others removed and saved six of the cars and one motorcycle, all with little or no damage.
