>Fire destroys garage on Potter Street

Haddon Fire Company No. 1 responded to an alarm raised at 7:05pm on Friday (May 18) for a fire in the rear yard of a triplex at 56 Potter Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found that the second floor and roof an historic barn-style garage were ablaze. They also found that the structure housed seven antique automobiles and several motorcycles.

While some firefighters worked to quell the blaze with a compressed-air foam system and water, others removed and saved six of the cars and one motorcycle, all with little or no damage. A pick-up truck and one motorcycle ...

>Rotary Hosts Philadelphia Boys Choir - May 19

Rotary District 7640, Southern New Jersey, will present a concert featuring the world-renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale on Sat May 19, at 7pm, at the Haddonfield Methodist Church (29 Warwick Road).
