On Monday, lotto retailers across Georgia began selling Powerball tickets.
Powerball is a large, multi-state lottery and its jackpots can reach the
hundreds of millions.

Dr. Roy Hancock, age 83, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Hancock of Eatonton; son Tim and
daughter Jenny of Eatonton, son Steve of Atlanta, and son Joe of Milledgeville.
Moores Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. Services were held

Teenagers becoming more risque with cell phones, says law enforcement
Editors Note: This is the second in a two-part series on cell phones and the
privacy issues that cell phones create. This weeks article focuses on

Former Baldwin High star running to the NFL Draft
Former local football phenom Darius Marshall is entering the NFL Draft,
according to numerous reports.
Marshall, a 2006 Badlwin High grad, has played the last three seasons at
Marshall University in West Virginia. Prior to an ankle injury in November,
Darius was leading the entire country in rushing and total yards.
A junior, Darius Marshall will bypass his final season of eligibility, thus
becoming the first football player from Baldwin County ever to jump into
the NFL Draft.

Ol' Mercer receives nice package from Afghanistan
More than three dozen mementos hang from the walls of Mercers Barber
Shop near the courthouse.
Some are framed, while others hang by an old piece of Scotch tape. Included
is an autographed photo of George W. Bush, several Charlton Hestons and a
poster claiming that GUN CONTROL MEANS USING TWO HANDS. One item,
